Fabulous Accessories for your Little Girl by Bella Princess {Review and Giveaway} 3 WINNERS! **CLOSED**

Here are your random numbers:
2 7 21
Timestamp: 2009-05-07 13:17:46 UTC
Thanks to everyone who entered! The winners are as follows:
1st Place - Brad and Hailey
2nd Place - Alayna
3rd Place - janil

You all know that I love clothes, right? But, what good is a great outfit if you don't have any accessories to go with it? All little girls need bows, and Bella Princess is a one stop shop for all of your accessory needs. EG even realizes the importance of accessories. She is constantly telling me "bow bow", if she doesn't have one in her hair already. Then when I put a "bow bow" in her hair, she likes to do a cheesy smile like she's saying "yep, I know I'm cute". LOL

Bella Princess sent me a pair of Princess disc it clips to review, and they have quickly become my favorite clips! I had never seen disc clips in any stores around here (and believe me, we know where all of the bows are!) and think they are just so cute. I requested pink and brown, as EG has a ton of pink and brown clothes she could wear them with.
I am so pleased with how they turned out, and will definitely be ordering the Daddy's Girl clips for Father's Day and Gators clips for football season.
Woohoo! I love how the discs can make a big statement in such an adorable little way. I think these would be great for any occasion.
All of the clips are a great size for little babies to little ladies. They are very versatile and can be worn in different ways as your little girl grows. Another plus is that the clips come in pairs. Pig tails are a favorite style now that EG's hair is getting longer, and these worked great. For little ones who can't wear pig tails yet (or for those of you who love to mix and match!), the 3 clip sets are great as they come with three different, but coordinating, clips. I could go on and on about all of the styles that Amy at Bella Princess offers, but your best bet is to check it out and see for yourself! With over 15 pages of clips and bows to search through on her Etsy shop (and no repeats that I could find!), I am absolutely certain that you will find something to meet your needs.
Bella Princess specializes in making the little bow clips and has any design you may have your heart set on including beautiful flower clips and disc it clips (like the adorable Princess ones I reviewed). It is obvious that Amy takes time and care to create your accessories as each clip set is created upon order (not mass created) and shipped in super cute packaging (see pictures).
Lucky for you, Amy was not only generous enough to provide me with the Princess set to review, but she wanted to pass along some great giveaways and deals to you as well. There are three different prizes up for grabs, which means THREE different winners! The prizes up for grabs are as follows:

1st Place - Pink Polka Dot Hair Bow with Matching Clip Set and Headband & 50% Off Order Coupon
2nd Place - Bright Sunshine Stripe Clip Set & 50% Off Order Coupon
3rd Place - Blue Flower Sparkle Clip Set & 10% Off Order Coupon

A Little MORE About Me...

I figured that I'd kick off the working mom features by telling you a little bit more about me. So...I answered the interview questions in order to give you a better idea of where I'm coming from and who I am. I have received several completed interview forms and can't wait to start featuring you guys! It's amazing the many different jobs, experiences, etc. that we all have! I hope that we can all learn from each other and that this will be of great benefit to all of us. So without further delay...my interview of ME...

Name:
Jess

Website:
This one! LOL

How many children:
1

Children's Names/Ages:
EG - 19 months

Work status:
Full Time

About my job:
I am a sixth grade public school special education teacher. Our school implements full inclusion, meaning that all special education students are taught in the regular classroom with a regular and special education teacher (for the subjects in which they have a need). I work with the Reading and English teachers (4 different teachers) and travel from class to class. It keeps me on my toes for sure! We share the teaching duties, so most students think they've just lucked out and have two teachers in their class (we tell them that the bigger classes needed an extra teacher...lol). I love what I do and enjoy working with the kids each day. Sure it's super stressful at times, but the job is rewarding and the schedule has allowed me to have more time at home than I might have with another profession.

My return to work:
Let me say first, that I would never want to repeat that experience! My husband and I decided to go ahead and try for a baby, understanding that our financial situation was not going to make a drastic change in a few years. I understood that I would have to continue to work, even though I've always dreamed of being a SAHM. Our financial situation just wouldn't allow that. Luckily, I was able to take the full 12 weeks of FMLA leave, and actually had some extra time built in. Because of when EG was born (September 18...EXACTLY 60 days/12 weeks of work days until the end of Christmas break...a miracle it happend that way!), I had about 15 weeks of leave. Our Fall Break, Thanksgiving Break, and Christmas Break were all during my leave time and don't count against my FMLA leave days. About a week before I returned to work, I started taking EG to daycare (a home daycare around the corner from my school) for just an hour or so to get her used to Ms. Tammie. The first time I took her, for just an hour, I went to my moms and cried the whole time. Long story short, it took me about three weeks before I stopped sobbing uncontrollably when I dropped her off. The first day I actually returned to work was a nightmare! My co-workers still joke about how "fragile" I was those first few weeks. My principal said "good morning" to me (rather than asking how I was...that was obvious), and I burst into tears again. It was rough, but EG settled in nicely at daycare and LOVES being there.

Advice for new moms returning to work:
My best advice for moms preparing to return to work is just to say "hang in there" and understand that, no matter what people say, you are simply trying to do the best you can do for your family. I still can't wait to pick EG up every day, and get antsy when I leave her in the morning. But, it's definitely easier than those first days (and believe me I NEVER thought it would get easier), and your child will still love you just the same :) I have found, too, that the time I spend with EG is so precious, and I don't take any second for granted. I'm not sure that I would understand just HOW precious it is if I didn't work. Maybe I would, but I know that it's always in the forefront of my mind, and that can't be a bad thing at all!

Come back next week for our next working mom feature!

Sweet Little Girl's Handbag by Tea Rose {Review}

EG has loved purses for as long as she's been alive! Before she could walk, she loved to pull things out of mine (or anyone else's) and throw them on the ground or put random things in there that didn't really belong (i.e. leftover Cheerios). Since she started walking, she has had an obsession with carrying around (or attempting to...)Mommy's purse or anything else that looks like it could be a purse (i.e. my camera bag, hubby's laptop. Bag, etc.). I thought it might be fun for us to have matching bags and went on a search for a cute children's handbag just for EG. In my search I came across the Mommy and Me Day Out Handbags from Tea Rose Company. I thought they were so cute that I contacted Tea Rose to see if they would like to do a review. Tea Rose agreed to send me a little girl's handbag to review, and boy is it precious! It is just the right size for EG, and has a matching cream flower clip that can be taken off and used as a bow. So fun! We have thoroughly enjoyed the little purse, and EG pretty much carries her purse everywhere with her. She prefers the bow to be in her hair rather than on the purse (I think Mommy has conditioned her to know that clips go in your hair, so she just can't get over it being on the purse...lol). I love the muted colors and beautiful floral and print fabrics that make the bag almost look vintage. Not to mention they match perfectly. The outside of the bag has two different fabrics with a lace border. The inside of the bag is another cute, coordinating fabric. It is very well crafted, and I am sure it will last for many years. It looks just like a bag Mommy would carry, not like your typical little girl purses you would find in stores. I LOVE that! It would be perfect for a much older child too! It is so cute to watch EG carry it around the house and collect things to put in it (balls, pacis, my car keys, etc.). She carries it in the crook of her arm just like she sees everyone else do when we are out. I think it's only a matter of time until she wants to carry it in the store too! These little handbags would be a great gift for the little one in your life, and the Mommy and Me bags would be PERFECT for Mother's Day. Check out Tea Rose for some great handbags, including these super cute oilcloth market bags. I know you'll find one to enjoy! Thanks to Tea Rose for a great little purse for my little girl!

Vintage Style Play Dress with Beautiful Form and Function by Sew Elegance {Review and Giveaway} **CLOSED**

Result: 48 Powered by RANDOM.ORG

Congratulations to the winner, KelliAnn!

I present you with another beautiful play dress, this time with vintage flair from Sew Elegance. This precious little dress is a copy of a 1960s design, and it is just as cute today as I'm certain it was back then. Lucky for me, Gisela of Sew Elegance sent me the White Dress with Blossoms to review. Lucky for you, Gisela is providing one of my readers with the Playful Pets dress (pictured, see details below)! This dress is of great quality, and fits right in with my retail items as far as washability and durability. That is definitely important when you have a toddler (and know that everything he/she wears is going to need to be washed and washed and washed and...). The style, however, is definitely different than anything else EG has in her closet. I love the snaps at the top, which not only add a unique style, but make for easy dressing and undressing. The fabric is cut on the bias, so the dress makes for great twirling too! It's so cute on (as evidenced by the pictures of EG wearing it!), and could also be worn as a tunic top with leggings. Another versatile piece, you can make it wearable for just about any season depending on how you layer. Unlike many of the other pieces I have reviewed, the fabrics used are truly different than any that you will find online, anywhere. I imagine that very similar prints may have been used in the 1960s when this dress was designed. This has quickly become another favorite in EG's closet, and, with the quality of it, can easily see this dress in some high end boutique. You will LOVE this dress should you decide to purchase one for your little girl. I also urge you to check out the other children's clothing items in the Sew Elegance shop. I feel confident in saying that everything you receive will be professionally created and of impeccable quality. In Gisela's shop you can find several styles of the little dress I reviewed, a tunic/jumper style dress (in Amy Butler fabrics...my fave!), a beautiful ruffled spring dress, and a three piece girl's outfit. Go check out all of the great styles Sew Elegance has to offer, and see details below for how you can win the Playful Pets dress in your choice of size 1-5. Thanks to Sew Elegance for beautiful children's clothes and a great giveaway!

To enter this giveaway follow the rules below (US ONLY):

1. For your initial, required entry, visit Sew Elegance and check out the cute and unique children's clothing Gisela has to offer! Then come back here and tell me your favorite piece (other than the Playful Pets or White Blossoms dresses).

To earn extra entries you may do one or more of the following and leave me additional comments here telling me which you have done:

2. Follow me on Twitter and leave a tweet about this contest. Leave me a link to your tweet as well as your Twitter name.

Great for Mother's Day! Mommy and Me Apron Set by Angela Huse {Review}

My little one loves to play in the kitchen! It's by far her favorite room in the house, and she pretty much has free roam of all of the lower cabinets with the exception of the locked one beneath our sink. She loves to help Daddy cook dinner or Mommy bake cookies (yes, Daddy does the majority of the cooking, and Mommy does the fun stuff!). She is constantly saying "let's see" and asking us to hold her up so that she can be in the action. I thought it might be fun for Mother's Day if EG and I had our own set of matching aprons to wear in the kitchen, and Angela Huse of Angela Kay Designs was happy to provide us with a set to review. I thought an apron might make EG feel even more like she's doing something special by "helping" us cook, and one that matches Mommy's would be the icing on the cake. The beautiful apron set pictured definitely did the trick! I am so excited to share this set with you because, not only is it beautiful, but Angela was great to work with and provided me with several beautiful fabric samples and options to choose from. You all know I'm in love with Amy Butler, so I picked this Amy Butler floral print and coordinating dots print. As you can see, the aprons came out fabulous, and the little details on each make them all the more special. On EG's full apron (just like the one here), I just love the satin ruffle around the middle! It adds that girly touch that I love. It fits her perfect because of the adjustable neck and waist ties, and would fit a much older child as well (made for size 2T to 4T). As cute as it is, I think you could wear it with a shirt and leggings or jeans underneath too! EG thinks she is hot stuff when she has it on, and we can't get it off of her without a fight. I thought she was going to have to sleep in it the night we first tried it on her! The matching Mommy apron is just as adorable too. It is a half apron with very generous straps to fit just about any size. The details on it complement the child's apron with the same fabrics and satin ruffle. On the Mommy apron, however, the ruffle adorns the top of a pocket on the front. It also has a scalloped hem that adds a nice feminine touch. The aprons just look too cute together, and it makes cooking in the kitchen so much fun (truly)! I've never had an apron before (not sure if that's odd or not, but it's true!), and I just feel so "fun" when I wear this precious one!

I guarantee you will be pleased with anything you purchase from Angela Kay Designs. You can purchase the apron set just like I reviewed, the child's apron, and even toddler/doll matching sets (great for birthday or everyday gifts for little ones!). She will work with you on just about every detail, and get it to you in no time. Add some fun and flair to your kitchen for Mother's Day and get this set for yourself (or your grandma, aunt, niece, etc.). Better yet, send your hubby over to Angela Huse to get a set for you. At $45 for the set, they really are a bargain too for a set of such high quality! Whoever you buy them for, you're sure to love them!!

Personalized Buckets for Any Occasion! {Review and Giveaway} **CLOSED**

Result: 24 Powered by RANDOM.ORG
Congratulations to the winner, Hana!

Looking for a cute way to package your child's next birthday gift? Give a gift to someone else? A really cute storage bin? Personalized beverage tub? Then Tricia of Posh Pails has the buckets for you! I stumbled across them on Etsy (my guilty pleasure!) while searching for a personalized Easter basket for EG. These little personalized buckets were too cute, and I could think of a million and a half uses for them beyond Easter. I knew this was something that EG could use for several years, whether it be for hunting Easter eggs, storing hand towels in her bathroom, holding odds and ends in her bedroom, etc. This year, she did happen to use it for our church's Easter egg hunt, and received many compliments. For her bucket I chose pink with a purple fur boa trim and purple "e" (can be purchased without the trim). You can see how precious it is! It is the small size (yes, there are 3 different sizes!), and it was just perfect for EG to carry around. The buckets also come in a medium (10 qt., 9” tall, 10” top width, 8 ½ “ bottom width) and large (16 qt., 8 ¼ “ tall, 13” top width, 11 ½ “ bottom width) size, as well as 10, yes 10, different colors. On the larger sizes, you can personalize them with a short name or monogram (rather than a single letter), and there are also other designs that can adorn your bucket (i.e. princess crown, train, number, etc.). The large size would make an excellent storage bin for things around your house, as well as an awesome beverage bucket for parties! They are very nice metal buckets, and the decoupaged designs are completely sealed so that they will last for many years.

From the Posh Pails shop:

"These personalized buckets are ideal when needing that special gift
for a baby shower (fill it with stuff from a registy), wedding shower, anniversary, housewarming, or even party favors! The uses are endless -- fill it with towels and lotions and set in the corner of your bathroom, put the word "toys" on one and use it in your child's playroom! Let your imagination go....."

I agree that the uses are endless! They'd also be a great gift in and of themselves, without putting anything inside. With all of the size and personalization options available, Tricia can make one to meet anyone's tastes or needs (male, female, young, old, etc.).
I just love the personalized flower bucket, princess pail, and large bucket. Tricia makes these buckets on the side for fun, so you know she loves making them and takes care to make sure they are just perfect. I'm certain you'll be pleased should you decide to purchase a bucket for yourself or someone else. Go check out Posh Pails and pick out the pail you'd like to spend your $10 gift card (small buckets $13) on if you WIN (see details below)! And if you don't win, you know you'll want one anyway, so go ahead...

To enter this giveaway follow the rules below (US ONLY):

1. For your initial, required entry, visit Posh Pails and check out the awesome personalized buckets Tricia has for sale! Then come back here and tell me how you would personalize a bucket of your own.

To earn extra entries you may do one or more of the following and leave me additional comments here telling me which you have done:

My Stylish Tot and a $50 Children's Place Gift Card...A Match Made in Heaven!

When I heard that TwitterMoms and The Children's Place were giving away a $50 gift card to the blogger with the most stylish kid, I knew I had her! EG is the most fashion forward toddler that you will find. Just look at all of the clothing posts I've had in the last few weeks! You can tell that we both love awesome clothes! She has always been the "fashion diva" at daycare, as you know she never wears your typical "daycare clothes". And, I am always being asked "where did you get that?" Truth is, EG is just too cute to put in boring clothes, and I love to dress her up. She loves to be dressed up too! She even asks me, now that she can talk, "where's my bow bow?" She's always matching and has an outfit for just about every day. She also wears all kinds of different styles, and wears them all fabulously. Her toddler style is certainly unique! I'd love to add to her collection with a $50 The Children's Place gift card. She'd look great in some of the new, adorable summer toddler fashions they have. Here she is showing off just a few of her stylish duds:
Sweet, Carefree EG Sitting Pretty in a Cute, Comfortable Play Dress:
Flashing her sly grin in this rockin' Vintage-Inspired outfit:
Practicing her catwalk stroll in this super cute casual ensemble:

I'd love to hear your toddler's fashion story! Please leave me a comment below! You can also enter to win too by heading over to the TwitterMoms and The Children's Place contest here.

Awesome Shopping Mom Product! Four Pocket Shopper by Carissa Black {Review}

I am so thrilled that I was able to review, and now carry with me all the time, the Four Pocket Shopper from Carissa Black!  I have searched and searched for a little wallet/wristlet to carry with me when I go shopping, especially for when I have EG with me.  Some may be more shopping savvy than I, but I just cannot carry my whole bag with me when I go shopping with my toddler.  I hate having to dig through it to find my wallet in the checkout line while I am also trying to hold EG (usually that's the time she decides she just can't sit in the cart anymore).  And, I also can't carry it, my bags, and EG out to the car without feeling like I'm going to drop something all the time.  So what I usually do is take out my wallet and just carry that in the store.  I can hold it in my hand, and I don't have to search anywhere to find it when I check out.  The only problem with carrying my wallet is that I have no place to put it except in my hand or in the cart (where EG likes to play "throw the wallet" :) and I'm also so afraid I'm going to accidentally leave it one day).  I needed to find something hands free and easy to carry.  The Four (or five) Pocket Shopper is just that!

Here is the description from Carissa Black:

"A great multi-functional bag. The styling of a wristlet combined with the functionality of a wallet.
Perfect for trips to the grocery store. The strap and clasp make it easy to fasten to the front of the cart for hands free shopping. Great for traveling. Holds your camera, ipod, cell phone, and credit cards securly. Also a great alternative to the money apron for those of you who do craft fairs. Just clip the bag to your belt loop to keep your cash and receipts secure.

The inside is fully lined and has three slots for holding your money, drivers license, and credit cards. There is plenty of room for your cell phone, keys, and any other odds and ends you may need. The outside has a large pocket across the front.
This little bag measures 6 1/2" W x 5" T. I have used a layer of batting for softness and to add a layer of protection for your phone and gadgets."

It's awesome for those times you don't need (or want) to carry your purse with you, yet need to carry your all important items (i.e. BlackBerry).  The shopper is substantial enough in size to carry everything you need for a trip to the store, yet small enough to easily carry on your wrist or in your hand.  The much needed feature it has, that I was looking for in particular, is the wrist strap that can be attached to just about anything.  It has your traditional wristlet loop, but it also has a clasp that the end of the loop can be attached to.  This makes it SUPER easy to attach to your shopping cart handle, stroller bar, your bag (if you must carry it!), etc.  As stated in the description it can hold your cell phone, keys, credit cards, money, tissues, or whatever else you just have to have with you in the store.  It also has an outer pocket that would be great for storing those items you need quick access to, like coupons.  That's what I use it for and it's too convenient!  I love it!  It's a must have item for me now, and I am so going to buy one for my mom for Mother's Day.  Anything that makes shopping easier, gets an A+ in my book!!  I can honestly say that I will never carry my wallet into Wal-Mart (or anywhere else) again...EVER!

Besides it's functionality, it's also very well made with designer fabrics and professional craftsmanship.  There is an extra layer of padding between the fabric layers for extra "niceness" and sturdiness.  There are also plenty of fabric choices to choose from, and lots of Amy Butler (whom I'm sure you know by now that I love!).  This is truly a quality product.

It's amazing how such a simple thing can make life so much easier.  Where was my Shopper a couple of months ago when it was pouring down rain, I was trying to hold the umbrella and my wallet in one hand, I couldn't close the umbrella, EG wouldn't sit in the cart, I dropped my wallet on the ground, and we were both soaked (all while a seemingly nice young man stood there, without helping, and watched all of this unfold...without offering to help)?  LOL!

Go to Carissa Black and try out the Four or Five Pocket Shopper.  You'll love it!  At $28 I think it's a great buy.  While you're there go ahead and check out the other cool products she has to offer too, including tons of different accessories and bags.  Thanks to Carissa Black for such a great shop, and a great product!

Adorable Custom Booties for Little Feet by Bitty Chou Chou {Review and Giveaway} **CLOSED**

16 Powered by RANDOM.ORG

Congratulations to the winner, Vanessa!

I love shoes just about as much as I love clothes! If you know me personally, then you know that EG has more shoes than any other kid on the block, and more shoes than my husband and me combined. They are just too cute, and she needs them. Well, I don't know about the need part, but it's true I can't resist an adorable pair of shoes.
Even if you aren't a "shoe person" like me, you are NOT going to be able to resist the custom booties that bitty chou chou makes for little girls. That's a promise!
Not only will your little one have the cutest little feet on the planet, but no one will believe that they were only $20.
These custom booties from bitty chou chou are definitely unique, so nicely made, AFFORDABLE, and too adorable for words. I was a little worried that EG had well passed the limit on sizing for these cuties, but thankfully bitty chou chou made her a custom pair (thank you, thank you, thank you!).
Stefanie of bitty chou chou said that though she loves to make larger sizes for special occasions (woohoo!), these shoes are made traditionally for prewalkers (sizes 0-18mo).
These are booties and not meant for serious outdoor (running through sand and dirt) wear. They are perfect for inside parties, church, special occasions, and limited time on grass or cement. If you would like a larger custom pair, it's $4 more and there is an add-on listing in her shop (so easy!).

Bitty chou chou made EG a custom pair of my choice, and I decided to go with the Bubblegum Pink Classic Linen Flat (pictured above). I had a terrible time choosing which pair I wanted, and every time I look at her site I think, "Oh, I should've gotten those! Or those!" They really are too cute. The craftmanship is impeccable and I'm still in awe of how someone can make these shoes by hand. Each pair is custom fit for your child's foot; you provide the measurements.
She has a ton of designs to choose from, and each pair of shoes come lined with a coordinating fabric on the inside of the shoe and the footbed, as well as sewn in bitty chou chou labels. Some of my favorite pairs (pictured) are the Magenta Silk Ballet Flats and the Navy and Teal Flower Print Flats. All sizes 6 months and up come with a no-slip grippy sole, which is great for babies who are starting to cruise or walk. The pair we received fit EG perfectly and seemed so comfortable. They came with a new faux leather bottom that I found to be quite slick on hard surfaces, and I would definitely recommend the no-slip bottom instead.
It wasn't a problem for EG as she is already a great walker, but it'd be pretty difficult for new walkers and cruisers. All in all I think bitty chou chou makes some awesome booties that I wish I had found earlier (though my bank account, and husband, are very glad that I didn't!). I am buying these as baby gifts for anyone I know who is having a baby.

Fun, Personalized Business/Mommy Cards by PaperRamma {Review and Giveaway} **CLOSED**

12 Powered by RANDOM.ORG

Congratulations to the winner, MJ!

I happened upon PaperRamma while searching for some cute business cards to advertise my blog. I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg, and I wanted something a little different from your traditional business cards. These PaperRamma cards were the perfect mix. They are so cute, have a unique design, and get the job done to advertise my blog! Amanda was so easy to work with, and customized every part of my card including colors, wording, font, and design. I love the scalloped edges of the card, and the smaller size. They would definitely stand out from other cards if you handed them out at a craft fair, at work, around town, or at another event. They are printed on very nice quality cardstock and printed on both sides. One side has your typical business card information, and the other has a beautiful damask design (mine does...others available). As cute as these cards are, they are made even more appealing, and functional, by the little tin carrying case that they are stored in! Amanda has taken a circular tin case, filled it with your custom cards, and added a coordinating ribbon and clasp so that your cards can be clipped anywhere for easy access. What a great idea! They can easily clip to your purse, keychain, or wherever else you can think of, so that you can access them easily whenever you need to.
Don't have a need for a business card, per se? They would also make great mommy cards for playdates or other situations where you need to quickly give someone your information (e-mail, address, etc.). Everyone could find a use for these little cards. And, as I said above, Amanda was great to work with and was always super quick to reply. We worked with several samples until I was happy with design, and she printed and shipped lightning fast. I would recommend these cards to anyone needing a cute, functional card for whatever reason. You also wont find a better deal than $14.95 for a completely custom set of 50! If you'd like to score a set for yourself, head on over to PaperRamma and check them out, or enter to win right here! See details below. Thanks PaperRamma for a great mom solution!

Not Your Average Keychain! The Card Holder Keyfob by Cassy Lain Totes {Review and Giveaway} **CLOSED**

43 Powered by RANDOM.ORG

Congrats to the winner, a.l.s.!

In college I always carried a leather key fob with my college logo on it. It was filled with my student ID, driver's license, cash (though not too often...), and other important cards. I never went anywhere without it (mainly because it was attached to my keys, so I really couldn't go anywhere without it), and often went places with only my keys because they carried everything important. After college I got rid of my keychain card holder, because, well, I have no idea why. I tell you this story because I have recently decided that another key chain like this would be very handy! However, this time I needed something a little lighter and more fashionable. I wanted to be able to carry around my super cute PaperRamma cards for my blog, my license, and debit card.
I found a great solution at Cassy Lain Totes with their adorable key fobs. They are made in a variety of designer fabrics (I chose a pink and green Amy Butler print...I know you're surprised...), clip right on to your keychain (or can be used on their own as your keychain), and have a generously sized pocket to stash your stuff! The key fobs are made with a dual layer of fabric (print on the outside and a coordinating solid on the inside) and are professionally sewn.
There is no stabilizer between the fabric which keeps the keychain light and a little more "adjustable" in my opinion. Not sure if "adjustable" is really the right word, but anyway, you can probably put more stuff in there than if it had a rigid shape, if you know what I mean. I love the snap closure (rather than a zipper) and the way it folds up to keep everything securely inside. When opened, you fold up the bottom flap, fold down the top flap over the pocket, then snap it closed. Everything stays right in place! I am currently using it to keep my business cards in. I keep 25 with me at all times and there is more than enough room to stash more cards, money, coupons, etc. if I needed to to.
If I just have to run in the store for something by myself, I slip in my ID and debit card and I'm ready to go.

I don't think I'll ever go without this little key fob again. It's so nice to have something so cute and useful attached to my keys all the time. To purchase one of your own, check out Cassy Lain Totes. You can also find some totes to match your cute key fob as well! Want to WIN your own key fob? Follow the simple rules below to enter.

EGGcellent Easter: Organic Sweet Treats from Sweetface Bakery {Review and Giveaway}

10Powered by RANDOM.ORG

Congratulation to TJ and Amy, winner of these delicious treats!  Thanks to all who entered!

Every seen a cookie too cute to eat? Well...me neither! LOL If it's sweet and delicious, then it's definitely not too cute for me to eat. But, I have to say that these super adorable Chick Cookies from Sweetface Bakery did require a little admiring before they were devoured. These little cookies stood out from the crowd because they are so cute (who doesn't love a cute little chick?) and are made from organic and local ingredients. From the Sweetface Bakery's Etsy shop:

"I love all things sweet and delicious and my goal with every order is to pass that love into everything I make. Because I live in sunny California, I am so lucky to have fresh and organic ingredients available to me all year round. This has influenced my baking tremendously so here in my Etsy shop, I take full advantage of this abundance. If you're looking for delicious baked goodies using the best organic and local ingredients California has to offer, you've come to the right place!"

I totally agree! The cookies were absolutely delicious (and cute as can be!). They were baked to perfection and had a sweet, almost tangy icing that added just the right amount of extra yumminess. I loved that they were sweet, but not so sweet that they tasted like pure sugar. I never really understood the concept of eating a cookie that tastes just like sugar. It kind of just defeats the purpose of eating a cookie. I also loved having the peace of mind that all of the ingredients were of high quality...and able to be prounounced. In other words, you know what's in them! These particular cookies would bring a smile to anyone's face and they come in packs of 12 with 6 "momma" cookies and 6 "baby" cookies. I can attest that the only difference between the two is size. They are equally tasty! These would be perfect in an Easter basket (though it's getting quite close to Easter), or for any springtime occasion. I know I'd actually appreciate having these any time of year. They are sure to bring a smile to your, or your recipient's, face.

Not a huge fan of sugar cookies (I suppose I can forgive you for that :) )? Sweetface Bakery also has tons of other goodies to purchase, either from their bakery website or Etsy shop. Goodies include cake truffles (pictured), delectable cakes, beautiful cupcakes, and more. Want to try them for yourself? Enter below to win a dozen of the chick cookies (6 mommas and 6 babies)!!

EGGcellent Easter: Beautiful Baskets for Easter or Home by Sprinkle Me Happy {Review and Giveaway}

I am so thrilled to have been able to review this GORGEOUS basket from Sprinkle Me Happy!  I'm all about anything that has multiple uses, and wanted to find an Easter basket for my little girl that didn't scream "Easter!" and could be functional throughout the year.  This basket is perfect!  It will be beautiful and functional for hunting Easter eggs next weekend, and when all the Easter excitement is over it's going to look just as beautiful on my kitchen table (it just happened to match our kitchen wonderfully!).  Most Easter baskets are pretty much used for...well...Easter and that's about it.  Little egg shaped or bunny baskets, etc. are adorable (don't get me wrong!) but I wanted something different this year.  As cute as those seasonal baskets are, you are likely going to get a different one next year anyway and this year's will sit in the closet until who knows when.  EG's bunny basket from last year has been sitting at the top of her closet since then!
So on my quest for the "perfect" Easter baskets I stumbled across these lovely fabric baskets from Sprinkle Me Happy.
She uses designer fabrics to construct the baskets and, might I add, the construction is superb.  A beautiful print on the outside is accompanied by a coordinating fabric on the inside.  A coordinating bow is also added for a little extra "whimsy".  There are designs to suit anyone's taste, including one with puppies that would be so cute for little boys.  A firm, but soft, stabilizer is added for support and allows the basket to retain it's shape.  The pinched corners also add a nice, finished look.
The handle is nice and sturdy and stays up when the basket is sitting on it's own, so that it always looks beautiful.  The size is just
right also.  It will be the perfect size for EG to carry on her own and collect Easter eggs, and also the perfect size to use in the home.  I just love these little baskets and the only thing I wish is that they came in even more sizes so that I could use them for all of my storage needs (soon to come...right? LOL).

I can think of a GAZILLION uses for these baskets beyond Easter.  They would make great gifts on their own or filled with goodies to make a gift basket (think bridal showers, Mother's Day...).  I'm going to use mine on my kitchen table to hold napkins after
Easter.
I seriously thought about using it on my desk at work instead, but I'm afraid it may walk away and I would be very sad if that happened!  They would be awesome in a little girl's room to hold books
, accessories, etc.; your bathroom to hold hand towels (as pictured), lotions, or accessories; or the baby's room to hold diapers, wipes, and other changing essentials (would make them easily portable around the house!).  What can you imagine putting in one of these baskets?

Take a look around Sprinkle Me Happy and I'm sure you will find a basket that tickles your fancy!  While you're there you can check out the other great items she has for sale.  They include adorable chalk boards, towel wraps, and travel rolls.  Thanks to Sprinkle Me Happy for "sprinkling a little happiness" into our home this spring!  For details on how you can receive 20% off of your own purchase, see below.

To enter this giveaway follow the rules below (US ONLY):

To be entered to win a 20% off coupon (off of $30 purchase) for Sprinkle Me Happy, simply visit the Sprinkle Me Happy store and leave me a comment here with your favorite item they offer.  That's it!  And, by the way, you wont be disappointed with any purchase you make whether you win the coupon or not.  Good luck!
